Well, while you're here, let me introduce myself. My names Tim and I've been in Real Estate for so long that I've forgotten more than most Realtors know.
Did you know there are over 3500 Realtors and counting in Edmonton? Each sell an average of 6 homes a year. You don't need any special skills or knowledge to become a Realtor, so who do you pick? What separates us from one another? How do you chose who you want to work with? That's a good question. Honestly, it's about communication. Or bad luck.

Have you heard the sayings "Buyers are Liars" and "Sellers are Yellers"? Haha. It's actually quite accurate and there is some truth to these sayings... Don't get me wrong, I don't think buyers are liars. Buyers are inundated with information that isn't entirely relevant. Example being doctored photos and adjectives that oversell properties. There is so much information out there that it's hard to know what's true and what's exaggeration.
"Sellers are Yellers" happens when it takes too long to sell a house. People don't sell houses because it's a fun thing to do. Selling homes are expensive, time consuming, disruptive to both your life and daily routine. Traditionally sellers expect lots of showings and they want offers quickly and for the money they are asking. This changes as the market changes. Slow market is well, slow and so you need to have patience. A well priced house will sell. Realtors often over promise and therefore under deliver. It boils down to communication, expectations and minimizing complications. All real estate is the same but it's all different.
